The entrance of The Roeterseilandcampus Health Centre is tucked away in the heart of Amsterdam’s university district, right between the universities buildings.
Here are two routes to help you find your way there, depending on how you’re travelling:
1. From public transport (Weesperplein stop)
This is the most common route if you’re coming by underground or tram.
- Leave Weesperplein metro station via the exit towards Roetersstraat.
- Walk down Roetersstraat, past the coffee shops and university buildings.
- As soon as you reach the canal (the Nieuwe Achtergracht), turn right. You are now walking along the quay with the water on your left.
- You will walk under the iconic glass bridge of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) that spans the canal. Turn left between the buildings and walk under the footbridge.
- Destination: Number 129A is on the right-hand side, in the lower part of the building complex.
2. From the Plantage neighbourhood (Artis/Plantage Middenlaan)
Walking from the north side of the campus.
- Walk from Plantage Kerklaan towards Roetersstraat.
- Cross the bridge over the Nieuwe Prinsengracht and continue along Roetersstraat.
- Just before you cross the next bridge over the Nieuwe Achtergracht, turn left onto the quay (Nieuwe Achtergracht).
- Follow the quay for a short distance along the water. Just past the white building, turn right to walk between the buildings to your destination. Walk past the entrance to the car park.
- Destination: You will find the entrance to the practice on your left, recognisable by the white door.
Tip: The practice is located in a car-free zone. Are you coming by bike? There are spacious bike racks underneath the buildings on the Roeterseiland Campus.
